Accessibility
We want the Consolflora website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, a phone or magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- The pages use a logical heading order, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- The menu, the service, flower and buyer or grower tabs, the flower catalogue filters, and the form can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader. Form fields have labels, and errors are announced and linked to their field.
- Meaningful images, including the flower photographs, have descriptive text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and controls are designed to meet colour contrast requirements, and the layout adapts to small screens and zoom.
- Animations stop when your device asks to reduce motion. A “Pause animations” button in the page footer stops them at any time. The decorative rose pointer is turned off when you ask to reduce motion.
- The website is available in English, Dutch, French, German and Spanish, and the language of the page is marked.
Known limits
- The legal pages are available in all five languages. The translations are for convenience, and if there is any difference the English version applies.
- The article we link to on Thursd, and the catalogue link, are on other websites, and we do not control their accessibility.
- We have checked the site with automated tools and by using a keyboard. It has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist.
